Kennels

Coppice Boarding Kennels offers your pet a safe, caring and fun environment for your pet to stay. You are more than welcome to book an appointment to visit us before your pets’ stay.

We have 38 kennels of varying sizes with space to accommodate single or group occupants of all shapes and sizes! We also have three separate kennels in an Isolation block in case of a dog falling ill.

Each dog will get two walks a day minimum. Our walks take place in our own beautiful grounds, where dogs are walked one-to-one unless they’d prefer a friend to play with. There are always scents to follow and our walkers make sure that all dogs get a health check and lots of fuss!

Dogs also get four off-lead play sessions in our large, secure paddock. All dogs will receive love and attention from our dedicated staff, to make them feel as at home as possible. We have heating facilities for cold weather, and we can provide bedding and bowls. You are welcome to bring your dogs’ own bedding and toys if you'd prefer, to help make him or her feel more at home.

We carry one of the largest ranges of foods for kennels, currently including Bakers, Wagg, Wainwrights, Beta and Mixer dry, as well as Butchers Jelly & Loaf, Winalot, Chappie, Pets at Home Jelly and Gravy and Pedigree Original wet, so we can try to match your dog to the same or similar food as they are on at home, or you are welcome to bring their usual food. We can also cater for dogs on special diets such as raw or home cooked.

All of our kennels are cleaned twice daily, as well as water being changed and refreshed at least twice a day. Kennels are scrubbed in between guests with a DEFRA approved high level disinfectant and virucide.

We have lots of treats and chews, but you are welcome to bring your dogs’ own favourites to help them to settle in, as well as any toys you’d like to bring. Our secure paddock is well stocked with toys to suit all personalities – including squeakers, tuggies and fetch games, and we even get out the paddling pool in summer! If you would like us to, we are able to socialise your dog with other playful guests under supervision.

We are more than happy to administer medication at no extra charge. We are comfortable and well-practised at administering tablets and ointments, as well as inhalers. Unfortunately we cannot accept pets that require medicine administered by syringe.

We promise to treat every dog as if they were our own, no matter what their temperament. We have lots of stress-free and caring procedures for managing dogs with behavioural problems and are not phased by any dog.

We also offer day boarding here at Coppice Kennels, where your dog will have exactly the same routine detailed above, but can be collected in the evening.

We understand that leaving your beloved pet in the care of someone else can be scary, but you can rest assured that at Coppice Kennels, your dog will be treated like a member of the family and we'll do everything we can to make sure your dog is settled, content and enjoys their stay.

Please call us if you have any questions and we will do our best to help.
