We have two positions available to join the
Coppice family! This is
a really rewarding job caring for dogs and cats as part of the super team we already have.
Our first role is a kennel assistant
/ supervisor role. For this, you must be at least 18 years old and you
must have your own car.
Approx hours would be 15 hours a week during term time, up to 30 hours a week during school holidays, with some weekends and Bank Holidays.
Our second role is a part-time kennel assistant. You must be at least 16 years old. Approx hours would be 10 - 20 hours a week, with some weekends and Bank Holidays. This
position is to start immediately until October, and then seasonal work such as in school holidays and some weekends.
Duties will include-
Walking/playing with, handling, and caring for dogs and cats.
Answering phones and filling out paperwork.
Cleaning to a high standard.
Feeding pets and administering medicines.
General odd jobs.
Applicants must be-
Physically able to be on your feet for long shifts.
Reliable and flexible with shifts.
Work well with customers.
Confident at handling cats and dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
Able to lead and be part of a team.
Able to manage your own time.
Some previous experience in a dog and cat based business (kennels, vets etc) is preferable, but complete training will be given.
(Supervisor role only) You must be confident working with customers and nervous/aggressive pets as there will be days that you work alone. Working with animals is
unpredictable, there may be days when your working day runs longer than scheduled. The ideal candidate will have a real passion for spending time with and caring for animals.
Assistant shift hours include-
7.30am to 12pm
2pm to 6.30pm
9am to 4pm
Supervisor shift hours include-
7.30am to 1pm
1pm to 7pm
7.30am to 7pm
